✅ Recommended use
The Pyrofeu insulation board is designed to protect surfaces close to a heat source (stove, fireplace, hood, oven, etc.) thanks to its mineral wool structure.
🧰 Materials required
• Pyrofeu insulating plates
• Cutter or fine saw
• Pencil or marker
• Ruler or tape measure
• Pyrofeu refractory glue
• Protective gloves
• Dust mask
• Possibly: screws or plugs (if mechanical installation)
🔧 Installation steps
1 Preparing the surface
• Carefully clean the wall or substrate (dry, clean, free of dust and grease).
• Check that the substrate is stable, non-friable and suitable for the temperature (do not install on a flammable surface).
2 Cutting the plate
• Measure the area to be covered.
• Mark the sheet with a pencil.
• Cut with a cutter or fine saw.
⚠️ Wear a mask and gloves when cutting : mineral wool can release fine fibres.
3 Applying the adhesive
• Apply Pyrofeu refractory fibre adhesive in spaced dots (every 10 to 15 cm) to the back of the board.
• Do not spread in a continuous layer : this will reduce the insulating effect.
4 Laying the sheet
• Position the sheet facing the heat source.
• Press firmly for a few seconds to ensure adhesion.
• Start the installation at the bottom of the wall to ensure a firm hold.
5 Drying
• Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 48 hours before applying heat.
• Do not start heating immediately after laying.
6 Gradual heat-up
• The first exposure to heat should be gradual, in several stages.
This allows any residual moisture to be removed without damaging the materials.
🔒 Precautions for use
• Never expose directly to a flame.
• Do not exceed 600°C in prolonged use (850°C possible as a one-off peak).
• For indoor use only.
🧽 Maintenance
• Dry clean only (soft dry cloth).
• Do not wet or scratch the aluminium surface.
